Fire Extinguisher Causes Water Damage

Sources for Water Damage

Flooding and water damage can be caused by many different sources.  Some of the most common that we see are damaged hot water heaters, faulty plumbing causing appliances to leak, as well as overflowing toilets, faucets, sinks, and bathtubs.  This job was not typical.  A fire extinguisher was dropped in a classroom and it was activated.  Chemicals and water were expelled throughout the room saturating the carpet, tile, walls, and contents in the room.

Back in Business

When we are on a water job, our goal is not only to extract water and dry all surfaces possible, but to clean all damaged structures and get the area back to pre damage condition or even better.  We were able to dry all surfaces and remove all chemicals from this room.  The children were able to return to their classroom safely.
